House Rules & Expectations
Residents are expected to maintain a safe, respectful, structured, and supportive living environment. All residents must follow program rules, supervision requirements, and instructions provided by Gholston Holding LLC.
Respect & Conduct
Residents must treat other residents, staff, visitors, and neighbors with respect. Threats, intimidation, harassment, fighting, violence, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Residents are expected to maintain a positive attitude and respect the personal space and property of others.
Alcohol & Drugs
Residents must not possess, use, distribute, or sell illegal drugs or alcohol on program property. Residents must comply with all drug and alcohol testing requirements established by parole, probation, treatment providers, or Gholston Holding LLC. Violations may result in disciplinary action or termination from the program.
Smoking & Tobacco
Smoking is not permitted inside any Gholston Holding LLC property. Residents may smoke only in designated outdoor areas, if provided. Smoking inside the property is a serious violation and may result in immediate termination from the program.
Curfew & Supervision Requirements
Residents must follow all curfew, supervision, and movement restrictions established by their parole officer, probation officer, treatment provider, or other supervising agency. Residents are responsible for informing Gholston Holding LLC of any changes to their supervision requirements.
Visitors & Guests
Visitors and guests are permitted only in accordance with program rules and must receive approval when required. Residents are responsible for the conduct of their visitors. Visitors and guests are not permitted in resident bedroom or sleeping areas at any time. Overnight guests are not permitted unless specifically authorized by Gholston Holding LLC. Visitors must comply with all house rules while on the property.
Cleanliness & Property Care
Residents are responsible for keeping their bedrooms, shared living areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and other common areas clean and sanitary. Residents must properly dispose of trash and participate in assigned household cleaning duties. Damage to the property must be reported immediately. Residents may be held responsible for damage caused by themselves or their guests.
Personal Property & Prohibited Items
Residents are responsible for securing and protecting their own personal property. Gholston Holding LLC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Weapons, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, stolen property, and other items prohibited by law, parole, probation, treatment requirements, or program rules are not permitted on the property.
Medication
Residents are responsible for taking and properly storing their own prescribed medications. Medications must be used only by the person for whom they were prescribed. Sharing, selling, or misusing prescription medication is prohibited. Residents must comply with any medication requirements established by their parole, probation, treatment provider, or supervising agency.
Quiet Hours & Noise
Residents must maintain reasonable noise levels and respect the peace and privacy of other residents and neighbors. Loud music, excessive television volume, yelling, or other disruptive noise is not permitted. Quiet hours and any additional noise restrictions will be established by Gholston Holding LLC and must be followed by all residents and guests.
Employment, Treatment & Program Participation
Residents are expected to actively participate in activities that support successful reentry and independent living. This may include maintaining employment, actively seeking employment, attending treatment, counseling, educational programs, job training, or other programs required by parole, probation, treatment providers, or Gholston Holding LLC. Residents must attend required appointments and comply with their individual supervision and treatment plans.
Program Fees & Payments
Residents are responsible for paying all required program fees according to their program agreement and payment schedule. Program fees are based on the type of room or housing arrangement provided. Fees and payment requirements will be explained before move-in. Residents must make payments on time and communicate with Gholston Holding LLC as soon as possible if a payment issue arises. Program fees are for participation in the transitional housing program and related housing and support services.
Resident Agreement & Rule Violations
Residents are required to follow all house rules, program requirements, and the terms of their resident agreement. Violations may result in a verbal warning, written warning, corrective action plan, or other disciplinary action depending on the seriousness and frequency of the violation. Serious violations involving violence, threats, illegal drugs, weapons, smoking inside the property, or conduct that threatens the safety of residents or staff may result in immediate termination from the program, subject to applicable law and program requirements.
Acknowledgment of House Rules
By participating in the Gholston Holding LLC Transitional Housing Program, residents acknowledge that they have received, read, and understand the house rules and program expectations. Residents agree to follow these rules and understand that failure to comply may result in corrective or disciplinary action, up to and including termination from the program, subject to applicable law and program requirements. Residents are encouraged to ask staff for clarification if they do not understand any rule or requirement.
